You can leave a gift to ADCA in your will

We do not ask for legacies, but are always extremely grateful for the gifts that come to us this way. They enable us to run our essential services for older people and look for new ways to address the many challenges they face.

You should seek advice from a solicitor when you make or amend your will.

You can leave ADCA a 'residuary gift'

This is is a percentage of your estate once any specified gifts have been made to friends and family. Many people prefer to leave this type of gift because its value will be dependent on the value of your estate at any given time, rather than a set amount. This provides supporters with more flexibility when deciding how to ensure that their loved ones are well looked after first and foremost.

Suggested legal wording

This suggested legal wording will assist your solicitor in drawing up or amending your will to include your gift to help our work:

I give the residue of my estate to Audlem & District Community Action, Burr Cleft Barn, 9 Wilkesley Croft, Heywood Lane, Wilkesley, WHITCHURCH, SY13 4DA, United Kingdom (Registered Charity Number 1144074) for its general charitable purposes. I further direct that the receipt of the Chair or other proper officer of the said charity for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said gift.

You can leave ADCA a 'pecuniary gift'

This is a specific sum of money. It's worth bearing in mind that the effects of inflation mean that this type of gift is likely to lose value over time and may end up being less than you initially intended.

Suggested legal wording
